<h2>Accommodation</h2><div>This was very ideal especially as it was not so far from the bus station and train station. <br></div><div>The room was good, spacious and warm.</div><div><br></div><div>There was a small hiccup upon arrival as the key to my apartment was missing. It four hours to get inside my apartment as i was waiting for some one to come and give me a key for a different apartment.<br></div><div>As a suggestion, perhaps there is need to have someone to attend to the apartment building over the weekend especially as an emergency contact in case of any incidents happening on the weekend.</div><div><br></div><div>Cost of leaving is fair, there are supermarkets close by and public transport is very reliable.<br></div><p></p>
<h2>Preparation</h2><div><b>I was well informed about my travel, including purchase of air ticket on time.</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>In preparation for the teaching material, there was not much to prepare for, except to be familiar with the topics that were presented in the draft schedule. I looked at the topics and most of them were similar to my daily teaching at the teaching institution that i am originally based in Malawi. </b><br></div><p></p>
<div>The teacher exchange has exposed me to different environment in the teaching platform. The coordination and network with other teachers is very important.</div><div>The teaching rooms were very accommodating.</div><div>The time was slightly limited,i would recommend length of 4 weeks.</div><div>I would like to visit again for this teacher exchange.<br> </div>
<div>Teaching</div><div><br></div><div>I enjoyed this part very much. The colleague was very accommodating and helpful all the time. The sessions were also very helpful.</div><div><br></div><div>I had a chance to visit the theaters, and other academic sites. This was very good to me and was a refresher to my surgery training too.<br></div><p></p>
<div>Teaching hours were flexible, and the time was enough to cover for the sessions.</div><div>On Tuesdays i supervised minor operations from 8:30 am till 1 pm</div><div>On Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays, we had class room sessions for the whole day (9 am till 3 pm) 1 hour lunch break</div><div>I had a chance of attending the MAYO scientific conference on 23 and 24 September full days. This was very educative and informative. <br></div><p></p>
