Arrival and registration

Sorry, I don't remember much about the introduction day.

Acommendation

The accommodation was fantastic, having all the exchange/erasmus students in their own corridors was particularly enjoyable and helped us to settle down quicker and make friends with people in similar positions as us. UAC organised my accommodation well before my arrival and answered all the questions I had both before and after I arrived in Sweden.

Leisure time and social activities

The majority of my social actiities were organised amongs ourselves, however the cruise organised by the molecular medicine department and the cheese and wine night by the oncology department were really good.

Pre-departure

I chose to go on exchange to try and travel Europe and see what it would be like living and studying in another country, I chose KI because it is one of the most famous biomedical institutions in Europe located in a beautiful country. The teachers and the students there were fantastic and the exchange/erasmus staff provided me with more than enough information and resources to help me settle down.

Courses during the exchange period

1BI011 : BACH-Molecular oncology and biostatistics
Very well organised and taught, no complaints whatsoever.
1BI012 : BACH-Molecular medicine
I did not particularly like the pathology laborations however the lectures and the remainder of the course were well put together, albeit hard to follow at times what topics we were learning about

Summary

It would have been nice to have some sort of larger get together/meet for the incoming exchange students, apart from that the exchange period at KI took up some of the best months of my life.

Language and Culture

I did not do the language course.

Studies in general

While at KI I studied molecular oncology and molecular medicine, both of which were taught by very experienced teachers.
