Accommendation

I was offered alternative accommodation by Dr Maria Bradley, which was good, but I had a chance to visit KI accommodation for exchange teachers, from what I saw, it was not to my satisfaction.

Language and Culture

Most people spoke English so was ok for me

Leisure time

Social activities were not arranged, but manged to find some colleagues who assisted me.

Miscellaneous

The exchange is good and enriching academically

Other activities

I did a couple of observerships, which were all great, made a lot of networks through it.

Preparation

I knew about the opportunity for an exchange visit through a group email for academic members of staff at the college. I did prepare for the visit and life in Stockholm, the preparation was easier after meeting Dr Maria Bradley, from KI, who gave me lots of tips and insight about Stockholm. The links provided to me and the maps were very helpful. However the initial preparation was frustrating as the contacts from KI seemed not sure of the dates that I could travel, and the responses sometimes took days.

Reflections

Since this was the first exchange visit with my university I am hoping things will improve and can get more exciting

Teaching

I enjoyed the teaching, especially the seminars were a great learning tool. the international students were great and keen to learn a diverse of practices, including those outside Sweden. The Swedish tutors were good and very accommodative.

Teaching hours

The teaching hours were flexible
